dissecting/dressing Chillon a story told through our collections

Château de Chillon

scenography

As a living monument, Chillon stands at the crossroads of two conceptions of cultural heritage: should the site be excavated to reveal its architecture, or should it be enriched with objects and decorations to revive its memory? Over time, restorers, archaeologists, and collectors have alternately favored one approach or the other.

The scenography, conceived as an installation, contrasts each room of the castle with a contemporary touch.
